The Goldfields LCP is a unique organisation run by Goldfields people, for Goldfields people.
The Goldfields LCP is an industry driven community partnership aimed at improving the transition of Goldfields youth through school, further trainins, education and employment. Targeting the 13-19 year age bracket, the Goldfields LCP works closely with Goldfields business and community members linking them to educational institutions to provide career choice.
Supported by the Federal Government via the Department of Education, Science and Training, the Goldfields LCP supports innovative and exemplary programs that provide young people with the opportunity to achieve.
The Goldfields LCP has three key objectives, these include:
Structure Workplace Learning
• Supporting Workplace Learning programs
• Providing Annual Workplace Learning Awards
• Supporting employers of young people
Career and Transition Support
• Training and professional development support for teachers
• Career development activities for parents and students
• Career planning for students and parents
• Career related software for schools
Building Links
• Provides industry mentors for students, parents and teachers
• Creating partnerships between education and Industry
• Funding partnership events such as the 'It's Your Choice' Career Expo
